How to find us

St Aldhelm’s Chapel

Services are held on special occasions only, including a dawn Eucharist on Easter Day.

Other information

The chapel is a rather unusual square stone construction, built in the late 12th century, taking its name from Aldhelm first Bishop of Sherborne, AD 705. It stands 354 feet above sea level on the bleak headland to which it gives its name.

For more information about St. Aldhelm’s Chapel, visit Michael Day’s ‘Dorset Churches’ site or Wikipedia..
